Livingroom Shelves

This shelves system is inspired by a similar IKEA design. This one, not like the IKEA one, is made of soft maple. It took me about six months to finish this one up, as this was my first-ever woodworking work.

These shelves are designed so they can be mounted under a very large doorpost which stands between our living-room and bedroom. These shelves are doing this job perfectly as can be seen in the pictures. Another bonus is that our cats can pass freely under them.
